At Southport Church of Christ, we believe that life is better together. There are a range of ways that you can connect with community – one is through plugging in with some of our group programs. Explore below!
Lifegroups are small communities that meet mid-week in a home or online to grow in relationship with God and with one another. This can look like sharing meals, reading the Bible together, praying for each other and having social events. Whatever stage of life you are in, we have a group waiting to welcome you.
We’re passionate about family discipleship and children knowing the love of Jesus. In addition to our kids program, which runs every Sunday morning during the school term, we love connecting throughout the year at various events.
Our weekly youth group, called ‘Alive Youth’ provides space for our high school aged community to explore their purpose and find hope. They hang out on Friday nights to enjoy food, music, activities, and a short youth service, as well connecting in year-level mentor groups, led my a young adult leader.
Our young adults community connect on Sundays primarily at our 5pm service as well as at mid-week lifegroups and social events. From beach days to our annual camp, there’s always something to get involved in.
We love celebrating diversity of culture at SCC through a range of multicultural events. We also have a heart for helping our international students and immigrants connect into the community. Our weekly English practice sessions are one of the regular ways we connect.
We love encouraging multigenerational connection between women at SCC. From events throughout the year, as well as weekly Bible studies, we would love to connect with you.
SCC men connect through annual events such as Men’s Camp and Men’s Shed, as well as men’s bible study groups. Our goal is to make space to go deeper with God and one another through relaxed social events as well as creating space to address some of life’s more difficult challenges.
Community and connection for those in their second half of life is what our seniors group, ‘Encore’, is all about. They encourage friendship and discussion with catered lunches featuring guest speakers, Bible study groups, and outings throughout the year.

We look forward to drawing near to God together.
