Southport Church of Christ (SCC), acknowledges and respects the privacy of individuals. We support and endorse the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 and will comply with these principles whenever personal information as defined by the Act is collected by us.

Steve Peach

Ministry Team Leader

Steve moved into the role as Ministry Team Leader in January 2013. He has had previous ministry experience as a Youth Pastor and Men’s Ministry Pastor as well as working with Youth Dimension in Melbourne and the Bible Society in NSW. Steve also carries the role of Chaplain to the V8 Ute series, and works with the broader V8 Supercar chaplaincy team. He is a motor mechanic by trade and has a real passion to see the gospel presented in a culturally relevant way to ordinary Aussies. He holds a Bachelor of Theology and is ordained by the Churches of Christ in QLD. He is married to Belinda, and together they have a daughter Zoe and a son Thomas.

Why are you a youth leader?

My personal relationship with God brings me fulfilment and joy that nothing else can. I hope to demonstrate and share this to the youth so that they will be inspired to pursue their own relationship with Jesus

Why are you a youth leader?

In a world where we can be heavily influenced by a lot of things. I chose to be a youth leader because I believe it is such a great opportunity to spend time with the youth and to be able to share with them who Jesus is and what the Gospel is all about. And I pray that through the times I spend with these kids, in some small way, I am able to help be a positive influence in their lives.

We are so excited that, with the lifting of restrictions, we are able to gather together for our August Prayer & Worship Nights! Please wear a mask at all times when on the premises and make sure to sign in using the QLD check in app.

I think it’s a challenging stage of life where there are so many different influences and It’s so important for the youth to know that they are loved by God and His church. I’d like to help show this to the kids by being there for them. I love the Alive Youth set up, that focuses on mentoring for each year level and shows love to the youth.
