From grocery assistance to our Southport Op Shop, our heart is to love and support our local community. Explore some of our community services below.

Counselling & Psychology

We offer clinical psychology and professional counselling services. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship issues, or anything in between, we are committed to providing personalised, quality care. Our team are committed Christians, however, we acknowledge diversity of beliefs and welcome anyone to engage with our services irrespective of beliefs or values.

The Courtyard

The Courtyard is a support network for the Southport and surrounding community. Our team provides friendship and practical support such as free fresh food and bread on Mondays from 11.15am – 12:15pm. Join for a tea or coffee as well, all are welcome. We take a break over the Christmas period so please contact the office to confirm whether we are operating.

The Mooring

The Mooring is an emergency support network that cares for the families of patients in intensive care. Our team of trained volunteers provide accommodation, care packs, home-cooked meals, transportation and other practical support to help meet the immediate needs of families in crisis.

Op Shop

SCC Op Shop offers a wide range of quality apparel, homewares, jewellery, accessories, books, toys, and small furniture items at an affordable price. The shop is open Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm and Saturdays 9am-12.30pm

Steve Peach

Ministry Team Leader

Steve moved into the role as Ministry Team Leader in January 2013. He has had previous ministry experience as a Youth Pastor and Men’s Ministry Pastor as well as working with Youth Dimension in Melbourne and the Bible Society in NSW. Steve also carries the role of Chaplain to the V8 Ute series, and works with the broader V8 Supercar chaplaincy team. He is a motor mechanic by trade and has a real passion to see the gospel presented in a culturally relevant way to ordinary Aussies. He holds a Bachelor of Theology and is ordained by the Churches of Christ in QLD. He is married to Belinda, and together they have a daughter Zoe and a son Thomas.

Facility Update

Wednesday 12/3/25

Power has now been restored to the church facility. The office is open and all ministry activities have resumed - including Alpha which will run at the church this evening (Wednesday 12/3). We will be going ahead with our in-person worship services this Sunday at 9am and 5pm.

Our on-site cafe, Latte Lounge, will remain closed this week.

August Prayer Night Update

We are so excited that, with the lifting of restrictions, we are able to gather together for our August Prayer & Worship Nights! Please wear a mask at all times when on the premises and make sure to sign in using the QLD check in app. 

We look forward to drawing near to God together.

  • We are excited to be able to gather together with you for our 9AM & 5PM services this Sunday! Masks are no longer required when visiting. Kids Church will be on and we look forward to sharing morning tea together in the courtyard after our 9AM service.
